Nine matanceros belonging to Fund of Cultural Assets (FCBC, in Spanish) will participate in the 22nd Craft’s International FIART 2018, to be celebrated from December 6 to 21, in Havana.
In the event, which will have place at the San Carlos de La Cabaña Fortress, declared Humanity’s Heritage, the FCBC will also present an institutional stand that will expose the work of prestigious craftsmen such as Iván Sánchez, Tradio Rivero, Abimael González, among others.
Pieces manufactured with marine resources, goldsmithery, wood, crystals and engraved pictures will be some of the proposals of the Matanceros in the fair, according to Yamira Román, specialist in communication of the Subsidiary Matanzas.
Promoted under the motto Art, Utility and Service, consolidated among Cubans, is dedicated this time to the province of Villa Clara, to Furniture as craft piece and Mexico will be the Guest of Honor country.
At present, FIART is inserted within the cultural panorama as a space that becomes stronger in the promotion and commercialization of craft products with a Cuban seal that excels for its quality.
